Channel mapping or retail mapping is strongly needed by a company who faces vicious competition at the retailer’s level or plans to penetrate their products in other areas. Through channel mapping, a company will get information on retail population, profile of each retailer (e.g. address, management profile, product offering, supplier information etc.), retailer databases within certain areas and retailer map. The data collection uses a combination of extensive conventional fieldwork research together with technology assistance.
